Chronology
Charles, a retiree, finds new life when he answers an ad for a private investigator and becomes a mole in an undercover investigation at a nursing home. Based on the Chilean documentary El Agente Topo. A remake of El Agente Topo (2020). I believe that many works of fiction naturally aim to make you think, “It was an honor to be a part of these fictional characters’ lives.” This show certainly accomplishes that goal well. Even those looking for a mystery that has received less attention should be charmed by the humanity that is evident not only in the writing but also in the performances of the entire cast. Props to all departments involved. Although Netflix has been reserved about renewing shows lately, I hope they capitalize on the potential of this series by giving them a season 2, because I can’t wait to see even more of these incredible characters.
