Chronology
In 1961, an unknown 19-year-old Bob Dylan arrives in New York with his guitar. On his meteoric rise, he forges relationships with Greenwich Village music icons, culminating in a groundbreaking show that resonates around the world. According to an October 2020 Collider interview with cinematographer Phedon Papamichael, COVID precautions recently put in place by studios have lapsed, putting Bob Dylan’s film project on hold; as a result, Papamichael and director James Mangold turned to other projects. “I don’t think it’s dead,” he said. Papamichael said of the Chalamet-directed biopic, “But in the age of COVID, it’s difficult because everything takes place in small clubs with a lot of extras in period costumes, so I have a lot of hair and makeup.” So our next project is Indiana Jones 5 (2022), actually. Mangold is doing it.”
